Invalid byte 2 of 2-byte UTF-8 sequence.

Dear All,

I am getting this error from the adapter engine:

Delivery of the message to the application using connection Mail_http://sap.com/xi/XI/System failed, due to: com.sap.engine.interfaces.messaging.api.exception.MessagingException: com.sap.aii.af.sdk.xi.srt.BubbleException: Failed to call the endpoint [null "null"]; nested exception caused by: com.sap.aii.af.sdk.xi.util.XMLScanException: Can't parse the document; nested exception caused by: com.sun.org.apache.xerces.internal.impl.io.MalformedByteSequenceException: Invalid byte 2 of 2-byte UTF-8 sequence.

Is there any way I can find out which character in the source xml is causing this error?

Are you using ICO in ur scenario then check the following blog:

Hi Rana Brata,

   Try if you can get the payload

                      RWB-> component monitoring--->adapter engine-->communication channel monitoring--> error log for specific message---> details ---> message payload.

Now in the payload search for XML invalid character.
