Mandatory Fields in Incident Management

Hi,

We have made certain fields[description,priority..etc] mandatory in the incident ticket creation form, these fields gets hightlighted if we dont enter values for these fields.But it allows you to save the ticket without values in these fields.

Please advice.

Hi Sumi,

Please take a look at Note 1353553.

Basically to summarize:


Use SM30, table SMOFPARSFA, add a new entry: Key = CRMORDER, Parameter Name = NO_SAVE_MAND_FIELDS, Value = X.

This should then not allow all Web UI, including the Incident screen, from being saved if mandatory data fields do not have an entry.

Hi Sumi,

This mandatory filed is managed in the CRM interface, it will show the message while saving the ticket.

But there is no condition managed in the system level, so it will save the message with highlighted message also.
