Insufficient authorization to maintain operating system commands.

Hi,

I have this error when i want to place shell script path in the file communication channel, "Run operating system command before message processing" and try to save it:

"Insufficient authorization to maintain operating system commands"

is this error for my ID or is it for the system ID?

i did SU53 and sent out the report to security tam; but any other insights on this?

Hello Prema,

This authorization issue is not related to authorization management in ABAP stack - thus, SU53 will not be helpful here.

Please check if your user account is assigned an UME role SAP_XI_CONFIG_FILE_OS_CMD_J2EE. This role is required for the user, if they would like to define operating system commands in File communication channels in PI.
