I have just set up Charm.
Incident = ZMIN
RFC = ZMCR
Change doc = ZMHF
Everything work perfectly and I have my development system linked to a lab sytem where I can test the creation of Transports and the transport through lab Dev, Lab, Cns, Lab PRD.
Every thing is working perfect except for when importing the transport into LAB PRD system, I do get an error that transport cannot be imported due to component error. I circumvent this now by using STMS to import the transport into LAB PRD.
We are busy with Lab system refresh and lab PRD is not in sync with LAB dev iro to components and there is no urgency now to get these lab system syncronised.
I fully agree, that the component check is necessary, but is there a way to switch the check for component error "off" while testing the CHARM process in the lab boxes, so that I can test the import into PRD systems with CHARM and not via STMS.

We are on 7.1 SP8
The table already has already been corrected as suggested in the note and already do contain the missing field "IGN_CVERS".
The tabel however do not contain any entries. I am sure that I need to add an entry here that will list the system that must be excluded with the field "IGN_CVERS", but have no idea what fields to complete for such an entry.
Hi Johan,
This issue is due to component version different between the system.
Also currently doing system refresh , so system component version different between LAB PRD and DEV systems.
In this situation, not able to import the transport in the ChaRm through SM_CRM screen, it will show the component difference error.
So goto the maintanace cycle and import the transport using the below import parameter option marked in the fig.(Ignore Invalid component version)
So it help to import the transport with out checking the component version in the PRD system.
Also if the system having the same component version only ChaRM import the transport as per SAP standard. so temporarily use this option upto maintanace actvities.

Thank you very much Karthik.
yes I also do this method as you explain and is nice to do in Production environment when you have an isue, but that is rather for the exception and this has also been used to good effect.
.... BUT I do NOT want to do import via tasklist or via STMS. I just want the "check" to be ignored in totality on our testing environment/lab systems so that I can go merily about importing into PRD LAB system without any "workaround". The chances of getting all boxes on the lab system all on the same component levels is unlikely to happen in the next 3-6 months.
HI Johan,
If you could paste the exact error message you get, then it would be easier for us to ascertain the issue.
Regards,
Vivek
