To check the usage type whether it's CE (Usgae Type) or NW (Base) and CE on top of it.

Launch below URL:

However, I second Vimal's suggestion to keep the CE isolated from Netweaver Base

What is the Netweaver CE Version in this case?

Can you please post the Usage Type output of this system?

Hi,

You can check your netweaver version from your system info

http://your hostname:5<instancenumber>00/systeminfo.

You will be prompted for username and password.

You should install NW CE separately not over the SAP NW version.

Thanks and Regards,

I have netweaver 7.4 and as  per the below link, NW CE is included in NW 7.4

http://help.sap.com/nwce

Is my understanding correct. If my understanding is correct, how do i verify that NW CE is available.

Balaji,

Yes you figured it out correctly. Onward's release 7.3, CE has been packed into the Netweaver as a use case, much of like AS-ABAP, JAVA and so on.

See below screen shot, which verifies that CE is included now within Netweaver Bundle.

So once you go for NW 7.4, there in you will get to choose the usage type i.e. AS_JAVA, DI, EP, CE etc.

Earlier, CE (7.1, 7.11. 7.2)  used to come entirely separately as a different installation set.

This has happened now, because the Netweaver Code-lines have been merged.
