I am testing RFC destination and always getting connection test successful result. I entered wrong userID under "Logon & Security" and saved it but still it shows connection test succesful,  Why?  Trusted relationship is set as "No". Please let me know.

Thanks,

Shri

Hi,

Connection test is just a telnet to the othere system. If you want to authentication test. Please used the go in SM59 in that rfc and then uitility-> Test -> Authorization test.

Thanks

Hello

Connection test for an RFC from Tx SM59 will work even if there is no login credentials.

To check whether the login credentials are right you may perform an authorization test.

Hi Shri,

The connection test is useful to check whether this system can connect to the target system and ensures that the network is open and the firewall(s) are not blocking the connection.  Thereafter the Authorisation test checks whether the user account is correct.
