Problem with Personas user sessions in main/target system mode

Hi,

we are using SAP Screen Personas 1.0 SP2 in a "main system" vs "target system" setup.

This means that we are using a central ABAP 7.3 kernel 7.21 system as the main system (with PERSOS add-on installed) = "proxy" to personas".

On the other hand we have multiple SAP ERP systems connected (all kernel 7.21) as "target systems" that can be accessed through main PERSOS system.

Issue we experience is that user sessions created in the TARGET ERP systems through SAP Screen Personas are both:

- timing out regularly

- not closed after logoff / closing the browser

We have to close open sessions manually through SM04 after use in personas.

Did anyone already experience this issue in this architecture ?

What is the kernel patch level of your target systems?

Hi Sushant ,

The target ERP system is at 7.21 patch level 134.

The main PERSOS system is at 7.40 patch level 31.

HI David,

Your kernel patch is good. Are you on SP01 or 02?

Timing out regularly should not happen.

For your target systems, have you checked the memory allocated to ITS?

-If not then please check note 1888428 . Allocate at least 2048 mb to "em/global_area_MB".

-Then check whether you have implemented note 1787341  in your ERP system or not.

-Lastly, check whether the handler class of you target systems's restgui is CL_HTTP_EXT_ITS_BASIC.

We are on SP2.

handler class =  CL_HTTP_EXT_ITS_BASIC

We will check note 1888428 and 1787341.
