Hi Team, Could you please let me know if allocation can be done for an item based on its order type in the standard SAP? If not, can this be done by defining a new custom field catalog "Order Type" and then mentioning this as a criteria for PAL? pls hlp.

Hello Krovvi Sri

Yes, it can be done. Just like any other field "Order Type" field can be used for Allocation Check in GATP.

As per my understanding, ORDER TYPE (Technical Name - AUART) is exist in the Standard Field Catalog. You do not require to add this specially. Please check the Field Catalog in SPRO.

In your Product Allocation Group(PAG) include "Order Type" as one of characteristic. And while setting "Maintain Connection to Planning Area"  Map this Order Type field from PAG to Infobject (Characteristic) from Planning Area.

Hope this will help you.

Thank you

Hi Satish,

Can you please confirm if AUART is available in the standard Field catalog? I couldn't find this field. Thanks for the help.

Thanks & Regards,

Srikanth.

Hello Krovvi Sri

As per what I remember, it should exist in standard list (in SCM 7.02), but cannot confirm since presently I do not have access to any APO system. If it doesn't exist you can add a field, it can be done easily as well.

Thank you
