The ACT_UPG phase is one of the longest phases in the upgrade process.
As long as there is no errors reported in the SUM tool you may wait until it finishes.
You may check the progress with the logs in the /SUM_Directory/abap/tmp directory.
Once a task is completed the logs are moved to the /SUM_Directory/abap/log directory

Hi ,
below is the process to lock and unlock.
What do you mean that the upgrade is still running.
Dint you get an error in the SUM tool.
To unlock the SAP system, enter the following commands (here <transport_profile> or DEFAULT.TPP is the transport profile of the transport domain to which the system is connected): The system may be either the original SAP system or the shadow system, depending on which one the error occurred.ıÄcBÍ

Hi,
Sorry
I want to use ddic user for RFC connection fom original SAP system client 000 to client 010.
But ddic user in clien 010 is locked.
So i can not login client 010 by dialog user to unlock ddic user I get this massage logon not possible upgrade still runing.
I think I should stop upgrdae and login client 010 and unlock ddic user and start upgrade again?
Thanks

should implement SAP Note 912369 in client main instance. But upgrade is runing?
You are in the downtime phase.
The kernel switch and the repository switch have been completed
Any action to be taken should be done on the main system.
You need to unlock the SAP system from the OS level using the tp tool.
tp unlocksys <SID> pf=<TP-Profile with path>
tp unlock_eu <SID> pf=<TP-Profile with path>

Hello Reza

This is wrong.
The parameter ztta/roll_extension should be less than em/initial_size_MB

Maybe this is rubbish.
Stop all the SAP system and then clean the shared memory segments. If possible reboot the machine.

Hi Reza,
goto the shadow system kernel and Run the command
sappfpar check pf=<profile of the shadow system>
and then change the parameter as suggested.

Hi,
You can set it to using the below command.
export UNWIND_RESERVE_MEM=the value you want to set it to.
did SAP tell you to set this value. Did they tell to to set it permanently or for the time for the upgrade only.
You can also set in the file .sapenv_hostname.csh or sh depending on the shell in home/sidadm.
You might have to stop the SUM tools and the shadow instance . log off and relogin back again to sidadm.
Thanks

Hi Reza,
If possible log on to Shadow system and check whether the background job RDDMASGL is getting failed or not.
If it is getting failed you need to increase the below parameter
1. ztta/roll_area (1.000.000 - 15.000.000)
Classic roll area per user and internal mode
usual amount of roll area per user and internal mode
2. ztta/roll_extension (10.000.000 - 500.000.000)
Amount of memory per user in extended memory (EM)
3. abap/heap_area_total (100.000.000 - 1.500.000.000)
Amount of memory (malloc) for all users of an application background processes are running on one server, temporary bottlenecks may occur. Of course, the amount of memory (in bytes) must also be available on the machine (main memory or file system swap).
Caution:
The operating system must be set up so that there is also
enough memory for each process. Usually, the maximum address
space is too small.
Ask your hardware manufacturer or your competence center
about this. In this case, consult your hardware vendor
4. abap/heap_area_dia: (10.000.000 - 1.000.000.000)
Restriction of memory allocated to the heap with malloc
for each dialog process.
5. abap/heap_area_nondia:
6. em/initial_size_MB:

Hi mate,
Please tell me that did you get the ulimit thing fixed which was suggested to you earlier.
Try to set one parameters in the profile and let the system take it self.
So use Physical memory parameters.
PHYS_MEMSIZE

If you think that no the above things cant fix the issue. Please raise message to sap.

Hi,
On last week I had problem with ERP EHP6 upgrade , upgrade was stop in ACT_UPG Phase.
I tried to reset that upgrade and start form scrach.
Now I am in the same situation upgrade stop with " SYSTEM_NO_TASK_STORAGE".
I have done this change from note 1387739.
I had create a message for sap too. They saged "The current memory parameters seem fine
as they are well beyond the default values recommended".
They talking about some problem with "Program/report RADMASG0_C3 No information found".
The message was routed to the component area responsible for RADMASG0_C3.
The problem is SAP did not come back with any help and we have developer that waiting for this installation.
The only log file I had is from ST22.
I just tried to ask if somebody had problem with "component RADMASG0_C3"?
Thanks
