Check Component at Incident Creation

Hello Solution Manager Experts,

we are using SM for Incident Managment

If a create an Incident through the web plattform I have to enter a valid SAP component. If I create the Incident directly in SAP the Components field is just a text a field and I can enter whatever I want.  I would like to restrict this field to only valid entries aswell.

BADI SBCOS001 might be able to help you

there is no customization option available but you can do the coding in the above BADI with the help of developer like making this mandatory etc
