System Copy of PI 7.0 system

Hi,

Our SAP system systems are currently running in a data center with AIX Unix Operating system and these will be moved to data center running on SUSE Linux. A new PI 7.3 system will be installed at the target data center and objects from PI 7.0 will be moved to PI 7.3,meanwhile we are planning to do a system copy for a PI 7.0 system at the target side as a backup.Please let us know whether any manual changes need to be done in the communication channel or not. Also, any redevelopment is needed for BPM, Custom module, ABAP and JAVA mapping in the new environment after system copy of PI 7.0.

Hi,

Since you are going for different versions of PI and OS it will be migration.

Hi Vignesh,

If you are upgrading from PI 7.0 to PI 7.3 (dual stack ) then you need to do the manual changes in the  Integration Directory like communication channel changes. If you are upgrading from PI 7.0 to PI 7.3 (single stack ) then you need to redo the BPM interfaces and major changes in Integration Directory.

Hi Experts,

Thanks for your inputs.

We have installed a new PI 7.3 system at the target data center and we are planning to move objects (Design and Configuration) from PI 7.0 to PI 7.3 through transport. We have asked our basis team to move the SLD content from PI 7.0 to PI 7.3 but they are suggesting us to create the SLD contents manually.

Please give your valuable input on this. Based on your input we can suggest our basis team to move the SLD contents to PI 7.3 from PI 7.0 and proceed moving the design and configuration objects.

Hi Muni,

Thanks for the input. But when we asked our basis team to export the SLD content they need the information about the content to be exported like ALL, CR,LD, NR from the current PI 7.0 system.
