Version details: SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence platform 4.0 SP4 on default database (DB2) on server AIXv 7.1.

Goal: creating the new relation connection in IDT for DB2 UDB for iseries v5 with ODBC drivers

I have installed drivers locally and I am able to create (.cnx/.cns ) in IDT and test connection successful. 

But in respective Data foundation (.dfx) following error is coming while opening connection

"specified RDBMS is invalid:DB2 UDB for iSeries V5"

Hi,

strange question i know, but what happens when you use UDT ?   try creating a relationnal connection from UDT, then using it in IDT.

also you;ll have more success if these connections are saved to the repository first, before starting work on the foundation.

Thanks for your reply. I have followed your steps. Its working well for single connection. But I am getting same error for multisource connection.

Per the supported platform guide

A mult-source universe is only supported for the following on AIX:

DB2 for ISeries - Database version 6.1 or 7.1 and driver DB2 Connect V.9.5
