We have had issues with messages getting stuck in our inbound queues, and us not realizing it until we get a call from the business.
Is there a standard way to be notified via email alert or reporting if messages are hung up in a queue? This would help with a proactive approach to flushing out the queues and getting the messages processed.
I'd like to use standard functionality if possible.
Thanks in advance,
Michael
Hi,
Queue stuck may be because of many reasons. E.g Huge Message Overload, No Receiver Found., less Oracle Table Space, JCO connection failure etc..
So using CCMS, you can monitor/alert for JCO connetion errors etc..
So for more on -

Hi Michael,
yes, you can configure CCMS to alert you whenever a message is stuck inside a queue.
CCMS is not part of the XI specific alert framework, but it is the standart "basis" infrastructure for alerting of all SAP systems.
This kind of configuration is normally done by basis guys (with CCMS you can also check database size or file system problems).
I suggest you to have a look at <a href="https://www.sdn.sap.comhttp://www.sdn.sap.comhttp://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/0b4580be-0601-0010-d3ad-bd6ce51ae916">How to Monitor Exchange Infrastructure 3.0</a>.
