Field enhancement in OLAP universe

Hi Experts,

We have requirement to add another field(Business Area) in webi report. The report is based on top of OLAP universe

We need to take Business Area field coming from FI Copa query. Business Area like 1101, 1102, 1103, 1201, 1202, 1203 is assigned to some plants.

Can any one provide best solution for this.

Hi,

If the object isn't available to select in the webi query panel, then you might need to modify the underlying universe.

hopefully, the bw object is available in the Bex query behind the olap universe. otherwise, you will have to modify the bex query first.

once the object is in bex query, do refresh universe (or create a new one). save and publish.

then take a copy of the report you want to enhance, do 'change source', and update the dataprovider to point to the new universe version.  then you can report off this field.
