how to create Batch Job/Background Job for Process Chain.
thanks
prasad
Hello A Prasad,
I assume you have already created and activated the required process chain.
This process can be schedule using RSPC transaction, you need to specify start condition etc, background job gets scheduled.
However if you want to create background job yourself, please follow below steps -
1. Goto SE38 - Enter Program Name as RSPROCESS
2. Create and Save the Variant -
Specify the Process Variant as -> Technical Name of Process Chain and
Process Type as -> "CHAIN"
3. SM36 - To create a batch job, Specify Program Name as RSPROCESS and Program Variant created in Step#2.
4. You can also change user name on the top (instead of your user ID and you can put the system user id used for batch runs)
5. Save the job and update the Start Condition.
6. In SM37, you can check status of batch job.
Hope this will help you,
Thank you

AP,
You first have to create a process chain (RSPC1). After that activate and schedule your chain and the background jobs are scheduled automatically.
The timing is defined by the settings in your start process of the process chain.
Good luck!

AP,
It is not clear exactly what problems you are having. When you searched through SAP online help (which is ALWAYS the first step one takes before posting a question on SCN) I would have thought you would have found enough basic information to get you started. http://help.sap.com/saphelp_scm700_ehp02/helpdata/en/4a/2b21262c4d1d0fe10000000a42189c/frameset.htm
Exactly which step is giving you problems?
Best Regards,
