Screen Variants (SHD0) to make field readonly based on Order Type (IW22)

Hi Experts,

I was wondering if it is possible to make the "Functional Location" (TPLNR) field of the t-code IW22 readonly based on the "Notification Type" (QMART) field value. I have two type of notifications "AD" and "AS" that shouldn't allow that the "functional location" be modified. However, other notification types should allow to have this field editable.

I had never used SHD0, so I would appreciate if you could give me details on how to use it. Would it be possible to use SHD0 without creating a custom transaction? Where I can assign the screen variant to my users?

I haven't tried but I think this is possible through GuiXT script in screen variant.

I am afraid whether it is also possible in screen varinat. iam not sure. from IMG settings you can make the functional location in display mode for either in change mode or particular noticiation type. but not possible to acheive the both .
