ADS for interactive Forms

Former Member

Hi All,

I am trying to configure ADS for interactive forms. I enabled the ICM parameters. It is CRM dual stack system. Windows 2003 and SQL 2005 environment. I see the ICM HTTPS ports are active with 8001. And also deployed cryptographic library for ABAP side. Created the client certificates and used for ADSUSER along with root certificate. In Java side https://<hostname>:50001/ is not working. Standard ADS configuration is working fine. RFC ADS_HTTPS is not working with java port 50001. Not sure what is missing to enable the Java https port. I opened this new thread since my other one is too old. SAP told no need to deploy java cryptographic tool kit. ICM trace are below. We do not have any firewall, network admin says if the configuration is correct, HTTPS port will be active. Can anyone please help me.

[Thr 1692] *** ERROR => NiPConnect2: SiPeekPendConn failed for hdl 10 / sock 8660

Hello,

If your requirement is only to activate interactive adobe forms then you need to configure HTTPS for that. You need to do normal ADS configuration and apply for interactive form license from SAP.

Thanks

Sunny,

I got the license and saved under document services configuration as Reader rights and also as ServerSignature. Is this what you mean?

Thanks,

Yes. If you have done that then your interactive form should work. You don't need https for interactive forms.

Thanks

Hi,

Can you please let me know few details.

So the SSL offloading is done by both the application. Backend and the ECC.

And all the details in the system landscape in portal is https.

Hi Rishi,

We are using both HTTP and HTTPS. With HTTP everything works with ADS, all test programs are successful. But with interactive forms only I have problem. For (ABAP only) ECC, I am using CRM dual stack for ADS. In both system, ADS is working. Also both system ICM HTTPS is working. HTTPS://Hostname:ICMPort is fine in both system. I mean https://hostname:8001/sap/bc/fp/form/layout/fp_test_00.xdp is fine . But https://hostname:Javaport is not working. I am getting soap runtime exception error while using HTTPS for the test programs. In SM59 , I am getting ICM_HTTP_CONNECTION_FAILED error. My main issue https:hostname:50001 is not working. SAP confirmed no need to use Java crypto tool kit and only cryptographic library is fine. I have documentation given by Deepak. But something missing to activate the java port. Our windows does not have any firewall or any other blockage. Please help.

Thanks,

Kavitha.

Hi,

First of all as you told that the https://hostname:Javaport is not working

So please login to visual admin.

Goto SSL provider and remove SSL-Credentials and import the new one.

Click ok

You would see DIspatcher and next to that Active socket some ip and three line with ports 5XX01,5XX03, 5XX06.

Select the line 5XX01 and in the botten select Server indentifier  then ssl-crendintial  and click on add.

now right click on the SSL provider and stop and start it.

After that you can try the below url.

https://hostname:5XX01

I should work. once this work we can take step further to the backend and make some changes.

Thanks

Hi Rishi,

Sorry for late reply. I went over from start to end again. In SM59. saved the SAP_root certificate, soap client certificates from abap and ssl-credentials certificate from java. Only improvement is this RFC is working now. ADS_HTTPS RFC with port 50001 and with above certificates.

At java side, under key storage, created new ssl-credentials certificate and got the CA approved and imported into ssl-credentials along with SAP_Root certificate. In SSL provider--> Server identity-->used ssl-credentials certificate and under client authentication, used SSL soap client certificates and ssl-credentials-cert.crt. along with SAP_root. Please note that I used SAP_root provider certificate in all places wherever I used certificates as advised by SAP.

https://hostname:50001 still not working. Since RFC worked I tried the test reports with ADS_HTTPS rfc, it is prompting for username and password, I gave ADSUSER and password, after 2 or 3 times entering, it is giving soap runtime exception error.

ADS: SOAP Runtime Exception: CSoapExceptionTransport :(100101)

Please help.

Thanks,

Kavitha Rajan.

Hi Rishi,

In QA system, just did what you mentioned. Only created new key storage certificate. In SSL provider removed old one and added the newly created certificate. After restarting SSL provider node, tried https://hostname:50001, it is not working. Please help.

Thanks,
Kavitha.

Hi,

For the above one please check all the rfc have the correct password. Both in SM59 and visual admin or NWA.

We have some common notes for this error.

1871410  - Status of Compressed Response result in ADS: SOAP Runtime Exception
Note 944221 - Troubleshooting if problems occur in forms processing
Note 999998 - Analyzing errors with Adobe Integration of Web Dynpro ABAP
Note 1587941 - ADS does not respond or error "CSoapExceptionTransport.."

For the below error.

Do you have firewall in you landscape. has the port 50001 been open from the desktop from which you are trying.

Thanks

Hi Rishi,

Your reply is very helpful. I have maintained the user ID and password in SM59 and it is not prompting for ID anymore. The test programs seems to be working well with ADS_HTTPS rfc after I deleted all certificates and created new one, got signed off from CA and uploaded along with root.

Only thing I still did not https://<hostname>:50001 to make it work. But the RFCs and test programs working well with https and port 50001. We do not have any firewall or any block. Network admin says if the configuration is correct it starts working. I tried to access https://>hostname>:50001 from within server itself and it still does not work. Please help what could be the issue.

Thanks,

Hi,

Can you please go through the below note.

What is the error that you see in the default trace when you try to access the application.

Please also check the below note.

Hi Rishi,

SSL sockets have required entries and working fine. All ADS reports executing successfully with ADS_HTTPS rfc.

While trying Digital Signature, I am getting new error:

ERROR CODE       :     201,501

ERROR MESSAGE    :

Processing exception during a "Sign" operation.#Request start time: Fri Oct 18 18:28:35 EDT 2013#com.adobe.ProcessingException: Error while retrieving a pass

ADS: com.adobe.ProcessingException: Error while retrieving a password for credential: KRAJAN(201,501).

I received a file from SAP. Created 2 entries ReaderRights and ServerSignature and used the same file in Visual Admin. Please help.

Thanks,

Kavitha Rajan.
