Upgrade from xMII 11.5 to MII 14.0 Causing Process to Run 5x longer

We recently upgraded a plant from xMII 11.5 to 14.0.2 Build(93) and are experiencing extreme slowness from exact transaction/query copies migrated from 11.5. 

Any thoughts on why transactions calling simple queries and BAPIs would jump from 30 seconds in 11.5 to over 4 minutes in 14.0 to complete?

NetWeaver logging level?  Java Memory allocation?  If you build a new TRX that mirrors the migrated one is it faster?
