SAP BUSINESS ONE AND OFFICE 2013

Hi,

I'm in SAP B1 8.82 PL08 and I have a new machine with office 2013.

The excel export doesn't work.

Is anybody experienced the same behavior.

Additionally, you could vote for this idea on how to improve the export to Excel, on the SAP Business One Idea Place. Perhaps SAP will catch on, and develop this feature into something more robust.

Hi,

Im agree with Johan, i dont saw any announcement that office 2013 will be fully supported.

For now you may install 2007 or 2010 excel only to make it  functional while

waiting for the resolution.

Hi Christophe,

Even though the autoopen excel macro may not work, have you got the CSV file output from B1?

Export to excel function is actually export a text file with csv type.

Hi Christophe,

Personally I do not have Office 2013 yet, but considering the horribly outdated Excel Macro approach SAP still uses, and the fact that compatibility with MS Office has always been a step behind, I do not find it surprising that it isn't working.

I have experienced the same effect with each new version of MS Office since version 97.

My guess is that it works with B1 9, or otherwise it will start working in version 9.1
