POWL Query Authorisation

Former Member

Hi,

We have developed a POWL query,

but it is showing up for 1st user and not showing up for 2nd.

in POWL_QUERYR we have not mentioned any specific roles.

there some standard queries delievered by SAP which 2nd user is able to see.

1st User has many roles additional to 2nd user, how do we identify which exactly role we are missing for 2nd user

Thanks in advance

Niketan

Make sure you aren't running into caching issues, queries are cached which could explain why it works for userA but not userB because userA has a cached copy where as userB doesn't and the configuration is incorrect hence it won't work for userB. Use report POWL_D01 to display/clear cached queries and report POWL_D02 to identify any configuration issues.

Hi Samuli,

Thanks for reply.

after running this program POWL_D01 i found that there is entry of the query for user A

but there is not entry for user B, interesting there are couple of other users who also don't have entry for this custom query.

Not sure what exactly I am supposed to do?

configuration is correct.

Thanks and regards

You can look in table AGR_TCODES to see what tcodes user 1 can access that user 2 cannot access - also table AGR_USERS may be helpful in comparing the roles that are different between the users.
