Business Role SoD Detour path

Helo Gurus,

We have maintained detour path at role owner stage for SoD voilation. when an requetor is selecting the single role in the access request the detour path is working fine. but if the requestor selects the business role in the acccess request the detour path is not recognizing (i.e, after the role owner approval the request is getting closed). Please provide the solution for the same.

Hello Sriram Narahari.

Could you please help us indicating how did you set up a detour path for roles?

We want to put implement the following scenario:

Administrator modifies a role, adding new trasaction

1. In case of SoD risk --> The approval should go to role owner
2. If not SoD Risk --> The role must be updated without approval.

Hi Hari,

SOD Violation detour Path is working when we select the single roles in the Access Request but it is not working when we select Business Role in Access Request.

Is there any alternate correction to be done.

if not... i will rasie SAP message.

Hello Sriram,

Are you performing risk analysis on the request upon submission?

Also, are you making risk analysis compulsory at the role approval stage?

Best thing to do is test 2 requests as follows:

1) with a single role causing violations

2) Secondly with a business role (which itself contains the same single role as above)

If this test detours teh 1st request and does not detour the 2nd request, then I would agree with you that there could be a problem with how Business Roles are reviewed for Risks and not being detoured. In such a case, I would advise you to raise this "error" with SAP.
