Hi,
We have a requirement where we have to customize ARIBA standard mapping. So,I have created a separate SWC 'xyz'and made it as dependent on ARIBA SWC in SLD.Now,in ESR i can see under SWC 'xyz' ,ARIBA SWC appears as a part of BASIS Object.I have to change mapping under SWC 'xyz' to meet my requirement. So I have copied ARIBA mapping under SWC 'xyz'.
Is it possible to edit mapping present under BASIS Object? Will this affect my Std ARIBA Mapping?
hi,
you should not change any mappings in standard content from SAP - copy and use your own version,

Hi Sahana,
ARIBA content (ESR objects) are not standard content(it's 3rd party content) , you can edit any object.
Is it possible to edit mapping present under BASIS Object?
Yes it is possible. since you don't want to change existing mapping . copy the object(you can copy in same namespace with different name ) as Michal said.

Hi,
you can not edit standard objects.
even if you are creating new objects under standard swcv's namespace all will be gone if you are again importing updated version.
so it is better copy and use it in your own versions as mentioned by michal.
