Error with RFC Destination type 'G' when connecting to PI via AAE

Hi all!

I'm having a trouble when testing the RFC Destination to connect R3 to PI via AAE. This is in PRD System. In QA system it's configured exactly the same, but there it works.

I'm providing some screenshots to picture it.

QA System working fine:

PRD System not working.

Thanks!

The basis guy solved it, but he didn't exactly tell me how he did it.

Hello,

According to the SAP help documentation, you should be using a Type H destination to connect the ABAP backend to PI. See the links below:

  1. Connecting the ABAP Backend to Advanced Adapter Engine - for connection to single stack PI
  2. Connecting to the Integration Server - for connection to dual stack PI

The SAP_PROXY_ESR destination should be of Type G.

Make sure you have provided the correct URL & Port. Also check if the user( AAE user with all SAP rights) has the sufficient roles assigned in the PI system.

Hi Srinivasan,

Both thing are checked and well configured. When entering via web browser it's not necessary to validate user roles.

Hello Juan,

Try using IP address, maybe it can't be resolved by the backend. Otherwise, you may need to raise this to your basis team.

Hello Mark, thanks for your response.

It's not an issue with the IP/DNS Name because in the "Response Body" tab shows the same than the Browser.
