Display of names

Hello,

I am new to SD. Just wondering when creating material, how to display eg: Material type: Finished Product as FERT - Finished Product?

I could not find any settings in GUI to display these names.

Appreciate any help with this.

hi,

yes we can get it. In MM01 go to customizing of local layout(This is a icon) or press alt+f12 then go to options,expert,put tick mark on two control keys.

control keys are show keys in all drop down lists,sort item by keys these two we need to put tick mark.

Sorry may be my question is not clear.

I would like to know how to change the display to show as FERT also in the drop down list for "Material Type: Finished Product".

Currently it displays as: Material Type: Finished Product.

What I am expecting is : Material Type: FERT - Finished Product.

Hope my question is a bit clear now.

HI Naren,

You have do it using the same path. What system is now displaying is only the name FINISHED PRODUCT as this is th description given. Now change the description to FERT - FINISHED PRODUCT and the same would appear.

Hi Naren,

Material Types are not defined in SAP Easy Access they are defined in IMG.

They are defined at:

SPRO-F5- Material Management-Condumption based PLanning-Master Data - Chcek MRP Types.
