Hello GRPN,

I think it is quite hard to explain everything in details, since it is quite complicated with the whole logic. But basically it works like:

- Apply data into planning book, and execute macro calculation

- Read data based on key figure function, to get the target stock level and stock on hand for each period

- Calculate horizons and source of supplies

- Cover demand shortage for each bucket, considering procurement type and the validity of source of supply. This process only set a quantity to procure for each bucket.

- The above is calculated for all location/products selecated, and for the found components if the setting is checked

- Creation of the planned orders and planned stock transfers in liveCache. In case of planned orders, it involves PPM/PDS explosion and scheduling; in case of planned stock transfers, complicated scheduling happens.

thanks for replying ada, if you have the time to explain clearly the process flow of SNP heuristic process. If we run the SNP heuristic, what will happen in background.(Ex. if we taken supply chain model: Customer------>Distribution Center------>Plant------->Vendor)

Thanks&Regards

Not sure what you want. In background it happens what I said last time, for each location products. From user's point of view, planned orders and planned stock transfers are created to cover all the supply shortage.
