Welcome Kohli.

Like your SDLC, you will have ASAP methodology in SAP Life Cycle

Just have a look into http://wiki.scn.sap.com/wiki/display/SM/ASAP+Methodology

You will have frame setup in SAP life and this forum will help you for all your queries in your SAP career. Think Big when you are in journey with SAP, since SAP is Leader in industry.

You will get the detailed material from this link  http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/84/497e4ec079584ca36b8edba0ea9495/frameset.htm

Follow the left pane navigation one by one and always think in business perspective in your learning. You can get better tips from Ravi Sankar Venna profile content as well.

Hi Kohli,

I would just like to bring to your attention that if you plan to pursue a career in SAP BI, you may also want to have a look at SAP BW as well http://scn.sap.com/community/data-warehousing/netweaver-bw .

There is a good chance that if you are working in an organization with SAP implementation, the BI reports will be based on queries from BW InfoProviders. However its not always the case as BI solutions can be sourced from any non SAP system, but in current market if you can create reports and have some background in data modelling it will give you an edge. You do not have to pursue them both but I will recommend to get background info in SAP BW as well.

Sincerely,

Imran
