transport import problem

Former Member

We seem to be having a problem with the imports. We are unable to export transports from dev system. We get the error below

The error below refers to some problem reading from table TCETARG. This table holds transport target groups. We have since deleted the group and have re-created again, still no luck with the import. We did tp connection tests and other tests on all levels to all systems and they dont report any problems at all. Any pointers to the problem would be helpful as the error code doesn't yield much when searched on market place, scn and internet.

Test call of transport control program (tp) ended with return code 0237

Message no. TK094

Diagnosis

Your transport request could not be exported, since all requirements were not fulfilled.

Calling the transport control program tp

   "tp EXPCHK SIDK888888 pf=/usr/sap/trans/bin/TP_DOMAIN_SID.PFL -Dtransdir=/usr/sap/trans/bin/TP*.PFL"

which checks the export requirements, returned the following information:

Return code from tp: 0237

Error text from tp: ERROR: unknown error during select from TCETARG

Hello

Have you tried to create a new transport request and then check whether the issue appears with that transport request ?

Hi,

Can you please check that the transport request is related to any project.

How many entries are there in the table.

Please check if any project is attached to the transport request and the project is open.

Please check that entry of the Target group and the target system and client is maintained.

Please also check the below steps.

1. Call up Transaction STMS.

2. Choose "Overview/Systems". On the following screen select the affected system.

3. Choose "Transport tool" and "Display <--> Change".

4. For DBNAME write the SID in upper case.

5. Save and let configuration distribute immediately.

6. Exit maintenance.

In the transport configuration file TP_DOMAIN_<TDC_SID>, where <TDC_SID> is the SID of the R/3 system which is used as transport domain controller, the database name of the affected R/3 system is written in lower case, thus you will find the following entry:

     <SID>\DBNAME = <<sid>>
