Assignment cost center to movement type

Hi

Is it possible to assign cost center to movement type in standard way(by config or other)

If not? Which is the possible solution to obtain this??

Dear Prasad,

In SAP standards the cost centers are assigned to G/L account  & configuration of G/l account is done in OBYC against the valuation class . If you want to assign cost center to Movement type u need to go for the delelopment where against a particular movement type you need to maintain desired cost center in ZTable.

Material... The valuation class is defined for material master.

OMJJ... The modification key is defined for movement type.

OBYC... G/L account (cost element) is defined for modification key and valuation class.

OKB9... The default cost center is defined for cost element.

For more detail.. please ask this to your MM and CO team.

Cost Centers are Master Data & Movement types are Configuration. How & why you want to link these two??

Cost Centers are created based on Department / Location / etc.., Movement types are defined for goods movement.

Its not possible in standard, you can go for custom development by creating Z table for linking cost center to movement type.

Also, using user exit in goods movement screen, you can control that.
