[Adobe Forms] Customize default locales

Hi,

We are looking for a way to customize locale settings in Adobe Forms so that we can override patterns, according to the locale we want.

For example we want to send PDF files with date short format "DD.MM.YYYY" for France instead of the default "DD/MM/YY", and "MM/DD/YYYY" for US instead of "M/D/YY". We have the same requirements for numeric patterns.

We noticed that these patterns are set in the XML Source in the node <localeSet>, but we would like to change the default settings so that when we create a new form, the locale settings are the customed ones.

Therefore my question is: where does Adobe Forms get the default locale patterns from when it generates a new form? Can we change the default settings to our own? Or do we have to change manually the XML Source to the settings we want?

Thank you for your help!

Hi,

Did you try instructions in the note  1009564 (Creating or changing locale definitions in ADS) ?

We found a workaround to our problem since my post, but this definitely seems to be what I was looking for.

Worth giving it a try for anyone having the same requirement.

Thanks!
