Hi All,
We would need expert advice to make a decision on best practice to setup HTTPS (PSE) in ABAP or Java.
1. What is the best practice to keep the PSE as ABAP OR JAVA for a Dual Stack System?
2. I have done the HTTPS Setup on SAP PI 7.3 Dual Stack System and did the redirect from http to https.?
Please give me the solution...
Thanks In Advance,
vishnu pallamreddy.
Hello Vishnu,
I'm not sure about the HTTP Adapter in PI 7.3 (we have 7.1), but our approach for PSE's is to keep it in the Java Stack. The reason for this is that it requires an ICM restart for the certificates to take effect when you place them in the ABAP stack. In NWA, there is no need for a restart.
Hope this helps,
Mark

Hi Vishnu,
The disvantage pointed by Mark is solved in SAP PI 7.3 (check Note 510007 - Setting up SSL on Web Application Server ABAP)
I dont know any avdantage or disadvantage, may be in abap stack the SAP basis team is more comfortable but with SAP PI 7.31 java stack seems, that in the future, SAP will go to position with more efforts in this stack, may be it will be better to work more with the java stack.
Regards.
