Hi Expert,
I have done configuration of SAP system for Web Dynpro. When I execute this web Dynpro it gives error HTTP 500 internal server error if I have gone through SAP Gui. If I login into System through Web Browser it working fine and it gives output.
What I should do for such error?
Thanks in advance...........!!!
Regards,
Parag.
Hi Parag,
It's suggested to proceed with following steps :-
1. Install EP (NW 7.3 EHP1 SP7 java stack) in separate server.
2. Register your IDES (ABAP) and EP with central SLD (may be solman your scenario).
3. Then create JCO RFCs between EP and IDES.
For above configurations, you will get enough documents and helpful links in SCN , wiki & in SMP.
Please let me know in case any concern.

Nilutpal.

Hi Parag,
This error comes when you have not configured the required port for web dynpro.
Contact your BASIS team for help and get it configured.
Hope it should work for you.

Hello
For sure there will be some good information in the log files.
Also be specific with the SAP system details and the components on the system.
The HTTP 500 Internal Server Error is a very generic error

Hi,
Please read this note.
I have faced similar issues once we upgraded to EHP6.
Note 1098009 - Limitations for Web Dynpro ABAP
So if you want to use web dynpro application use it from portal ....ie.

HI,
Do you have portal or in your landscape?
If yes. I want you should have SSO between the portal and the Backend.
Now login to the portal with user id like your user id as it present in both the system.(Portal and Backend.)
Once you login in the portal don't close the browser . Copy the details which was generated in the page with 500 error and past in this portal url. Give an enter and you will see that the web dynpro will work .
Let me know how it goes.
The above will work as sap has stopped directly running webdynpro application through gui.
Thanks

Hi,
Did you try to run and does it works.
Please have a look at note 989286:
Calling Web Dynpro applications in a HTML control in the SAPGUI is not supported.
Solution
Call the Web Dynpro application from the Enterprise Portal.
Web dynpro is for the web (http traffic), whereas sapgui (DIAG) is a different world.Web dnypro is either for standalone application (url of the application
running in the browser) or the portal or NWBC - but not really WITHIN the sapgui.
Thanks
Rishi Abrol
