Hi,

The use of BI client in the ERP system is only recommended for quite small installation with very limited use of BI reporting, as far as I know. The BI system is often pretty performance consuming and if BI is integrated in the ERP system it will of course affect the ERP system users. The fact that BI systems need an OLAP optimized database configuration to perform at its best is well known, so the OLTP database will not perform as good. The functionality is the same between the 2 systems, though.

database parameters might be different between an OLTP and OLAP based system.

Hi,

SAP R3 was SAP ABAP platform.

My SAP ERP is suit involving some of the module like HR,SRM,CRM,SCM

SAP R/3 (R means Response/real time and 3 - 3 tier architecture)  Was not web-enabled

whereas mySAP ERP - Web enabled

mySAP ERP has SAP Web Application Server- NetWeaver

mySAP is an integrated Business Suite, Its totally based on web/NetWiewer/JAVA Platform.

it supports online transaction. it includes SRM, CRM, APO BI etc.

SAP R3 was the conventional SAP ERP product (till SAP R3 4.7 release) which was replaced by SAP ECC .

Thanks

Hi,

This is a hard question to answer

As of my thought most of the R3 system are out of support now and ERP are currently used.

But still i know some people who are using R3 systems.

Thanks
