Hi, I tried this question in the netweaver admin area with no much help so far.
I have a backup from my production (.BAK) which I need to restore to build another system. Could anyone tell me the steps to do this?
My doubt is whether I have to build another system before I restore the Prod Database to it. If not, what are my options?
Thanks,
Jim
Hello
If you have a backup of the production database then I suggest you to install a new system on the target machine.
Then restore the database to the target machine.

Hi Jim,
I assume that is SAP application.
It seems you are going to perform homogeneous/heterogeneous system copy activity.
