BOM in Free Goods

Dear Experts,

Have assigned BOM as free goods (Exclusive).

But, In sales order it is not getting exploded and the below is the error.

"Structure explosion for item 000011 is not possible"

Please assist.

Hi,

As per SAP Standard Free goods limitations,it will not support in combination with material structure(BOM)

further assistance  please refer limitations for free goods.

Hi

In your main item category setting please check what you have maintained in Structure Scope field. If it is single level BOM then it should be A and in your sub item category it should be B. I think system is trying to explode multi level BOM may be for your sub item category. Item 000011 means system is giving this message because of your sub item. I assume your main item is 10 and sub item is 11.

Please check and update.

Dear Navaneeth,

Have a look over the following threads. Rest Ally has already provided you a link for Free Goods with Sales BOM. Also, do check up with your BOM explosion settings for your specific item category in VOV7. For single level BOM structural scope should be A and for multi level BOM it should be B. If this shouldn't work then from TAE Item Category, remove the structural scope, application and uncheck manual alternatives. Hope this will help you. Thanks.

Hi Navneeth,

May be wrong item category is  determined for line item 000011.

check it out and do assign item category which is being used .
