Edit mode in ESR

Dear All

Can anyone tell me how can we enable edit mode in ESR of a SAP PI Quality system

By default ESR objects in QA and Prod and greyed out and we donot get an option to edit

open software component version in ESR and check - objects are original and object are editable checkboxes,

it is not advisable to edit the objects in QA and Prod.

Hello,

we want to update PI system to a newer version.

For emergency cases we need possibility to edit ESR objects directly in QAS and PRD system.

At the moment in both systems the edit-checkbox is grey - no edit mode possible.

How can we activate this edit mode?

Hi Julia,

Check SAP KBA 1571351 and help page. You need edit the checkboxes "Objects are Original Objects" and "Objects are Modifiable"

HI jULIA,

As michal has answered above, you can double click on SWCV (software component version) click on edit symbol and check Objects are modifiable and then save .. then u can edit it QA and Prod..
