tp_buffer_inconsistency error in spam.

Hello all,

I am in process of REP patch to SP23. I hvae this error from spam:

Inconsistency: Delete the queue completely and define it again

When I am tring to delete the queue. I get this massage:

Support Package SAPKITAR7H could not be removed from R3U buffer

Queue log:

Hi Reza,

You need to follow the below steps

1. Reset  the queue

2. Go to the directory /usr/sap/trans/buffer and over there you will find a file having a name similar to your system SID.

3. Rename the file and create a new file having the same name.

4. After that redefine the queue and again start the process.

I can not reset the queue I get this massage:

It's not possible to reset the status; delete the queue completely.

And when I want to delete the queue I get this massage:

Support Package SAPKITAR7H could not be removed from R3U buffer.

I could at last delete queue in spam.

I deletet the file "SAPKITAR7H" form /usr/sap/trans/cofiles and after that was possible to deletet the Queue.

Kan I use spam to deply ST-A/PI  add-one or I should use saint?

Hi Reza,

Use SAINT as descirbed at note 69455 - Servicetools for Applications ST-A/PI (ST14, RTCCTOOL, ST12)

c) Implementation with SAINT
ST-A/PI is small and does not interfere with productive coding. It can be implemented anytime and there is no necessity to logoff users. Warning popups regarding open BW data extraction requests can be ignored because the addon does not contain any BI data structures
Call transaction SAINT in client 000. Choose 'Installation Package->Load Package->From frontend' to upload the addon file. (*)
The addon should now appear in the table control 'Installable addons', on the entry screen or after pressing the 'Start' button. EBP/CRM 4.00 and CRM 5.00-7.12 customers have to use the special addon manager via the menu. Mark the line with 'ST-A/PI' and choose 'Continue' several times to start the installation process. Installation takes about 15 minutes. Confirm with 'Finish'.
Then proceed with the next point 'Procedure after addon implementation'.

Hi Reza,

If you are performing update of ST-A/PI then yes you can go-ahead applying by using SPAM transaction. If you are installing ST-A/PI then you should use SAINT transaction.

Also make sure you have update SPAM/SAINT patch to latest, so that you dont get issues while applying ST-A/PI. ST-A/PI is the small patch and you should not get any issues if SPAM/SAINT is latest.

Hi Reza,

If you installing the add-on for the first time, you have use SAINT to deploy any new software component, if you are adding support packages for existing software component you can use SPAM.

Hi Reza,

Can you checked the below things.

1. There will be a RFC of T type of tp. TP_CALL* . Checked the connection test for this tp.

2. If it is not working , then check any transport is in error state or not , also check any job is running or not for long time in the system.

3. at os level check any tp process are running or not.

4. Reexecute the steps and paste the last 300 lines of SLOG out here.

I have question.:)

We are going to to upgrade ERP to EHP6 sp8 and my question is do I need to first patch ERP to sp23 befør I start upgrade. Or patch SP23 is a part of downloded EHP6 packages ?

I had download sp23 and EHP6 sp08. Now I want to know if it is enouph to upgrade ERP with EHP6 because sp23 is a part of this packages?

Hi Reza,

You can go-ahead directly to upgrade to ERP EHP6 SP8 without upgrade it to ERP SP23.

You try below steps

1. check if any tp process active. if yes kill the process.

2. Update the latest version of tp and R3trans.

3. Go to the directory /usr/sap/trans/buffer and over there you will find a file having a name similar to your system SID rename the file.

4. GO to the Directory of co-file and data if you find any files relating rename it.

5. Reset  the queue

6. After that redefine the queue and again start the process.

During transport ST-A/P I get this massage:

TP_INTERFACE_FAILURE: The tp interface could not be called. An RFC error has occurred.

And I can not delete the transport Queue. I get this massage:

Support Package SAPKITAR7H could not be removed from R3U buffer.

I havenot the same problem as mentioned in note: 1449610.

Any help. pleas.
