We are on SRM 7.01 SP 10
We are trying do enter a limit SC via professional shop. An entry labeled N/A - do not use on the Add Item pull down seems to be linked to the item SC process because the pop-up box has value limit, between dates and so on. Two questions:
1) How do we change the N/A - do not use label?
2) All of the entries on the pop-up box are greyed out - how can we make those fields available for editing?

I don't doubt that we are doing something that is causing this to happen. I have done a significant amount of debugging in the methods related to the WebDynpro component you mentioned (and others) and have yet to find anything that we have customized.
Is there any specific set up required for limits to be used in shopping carts? Do we need to activate any business service?
Also in case it makes a difference we are using the Extended Scenario.

limits are switched on by default and can be switched of via BADI BBP_SC_MODIFY_UI
