You cannot use entries from catalogs 1 and 3

Gurus,

Every time i try to create MIC in QS21 in the catalogs when i try to use the standard Catalogs i get a message

You cannot use entries from catalogs 1 and 3 .

Then for what purpose it is given

Hi Sandy,

Pl ensure that you have set the indicator 'Charac. attribute' in the control indicator while creating this MIC. It should be set before you assign a cataloge.

Kindly check and revert back.

There are 2 Case of getting this kind of error message:

1. If you selected Quantitative chara. & you enter selected set in Catlog.

2. If you tick Qualitative chara. & you didn't tick on chara. attributes.

Please check your entry while creating MIC by QS21.

I think you select 'defect recording' indicator at control indicator.

If right, you have to choose code from type '9' (defect type) for 'general' field.

Please check F1 help on this indicator.

Ideally catalog 1 and 3 is used as selected set,so its depends upon the what you select in catalog in QS21 like you tick on  "S" or not

When you are using catalog type 1 its char attribute & only selected set should be used for this catalog type in QS21.Hence try to select c=1 ,tick on selected set ,then senter code gr name .
