Hi,
I have some basic quarry
- How to find ECC system is on EHP4 or EHP5 or EHP6 .
- Difference between 10g and 11i .
Thanks and Regards
Mohsin
hi Mohsin,
It can be found as below
Go to System > Status > Component Information. Look at the Release in SAP_APPL. In below example, it is stated 603. So, it means that the SAP ECC 6.0 is in EHP3.
For SAP NW system,
EHP1 for SAP NW 7.0 ==> SAP_BASIS 701
EHP2 for SAP NW 7.0 ==> SAP_BASIS 702
EHP3 for SAP NW 7.0 ==> SAP_BASIS 731
For ERP system,
EHP1 for SAP ERP 6.0 ==> SAP_APPL 601
EHP2 for SAP ERP 6.0 ==> SAP_APPL 602
EHP3 for SAP ERP 6.0 ==> SAP_APPL 603
EHP4 for SAP ERP 6.0 ==> SAP_APPL 604
EHP5 for SAP ERP 6.0 ==> SAP_APPL 605
EHP6 for SAP ERP 6.0 ==> SAP_APPL 606
difference between 11g and 10g in doc below

Hello
I would rephrase your question
- How to find the EHP4 or EHP5 or EHP6 version on an ECC system.
Check the level of EA_APPL and SAP_APPL
- Difference between 10g and 11G.
11G is the next release of the Oracle database after 10G
11i refers to the Oracle E-Business Suite application

Hello Mohsin,
Its the same query as http://scn.sap.com/message/14024883
You will get nearly all the methods to determine EHP here.

Hi Mohsin,
Your doubt:
- How to find ECC system is on EHP4 or EHP5 or EHP6 .
Go to your SAP GUI after you login
on the menu System --> Status
In the middle boxes you will see SAP data, the right side of the box is SAP System Data
Click on the button underneath Component Version.
Check for the following components.
Software Component Release Level
SAP_APPL 606 0005
EA-APPL 606 0005
Pay attention to Software Component and corresponding release, number 6 denotes version of ECC, and the later part of the number denotes EHP Level 4 5 or 6. The Level indicates support pack on top of the EHP.
- Difference between 10g and 11i .

Hi,
From the SAP Note
Note 1600482 - Hierarchical access functionality
Product Version Required Support Package Stack
ECC 6.0 SP21
ECC 6.0 EHP2 SP11
ECC 6.0 EHP3 SP10
ECC 6.0 EHP4 SP11
ECC 6.0 EHP5 SP08
If you see the note it clearly states the EHP level for ECC systems.
If the ECC system is on EHP5 then the required SP level is SP08
So, first you need to identify what EHP the system is on.
Call Tx SPAM - Package level
Check the Software Componenet Release and SP level for SAP_APPL and EA_APPL
If the SAP_APPL and EA_APPL are on 605 then you have an ECC 6.0 EHP5 system.
If the SAP_APPL and EA_APPL are on 600 then there is no EHP.

Himanshu
