Hi

A SAP router has been configured at customer site. This is done thru VPN. The implementation partner is looking for administrative access on thier
desktop. Please clarify below points:

1. Does the administrative access required on desktop  which is used for  open the remote connect at market place OSS.

2. Under what circumstances this is required ?

I am basis consultant but I have never requested admin access.

I dont think admin right are requird in desktop  to open OSS .

Please let me know two things :

1. Does the administratice access is not require for SNC also ?

2. Which one is better for SAProuter as SNC or VPN

No admin right reqyuird for SNC.

But please have a look on comparision as below:

VPN  - Encription by HW

SNC - Encription by Software

Security Features as mentioned:

Configuration

Setup of saprouttab necessary for security. Saprouttab influences security strongly as access is controlled via saprouttab and firewall.

Setup of routing configuration in VPN switch necessary for security. Saprouttab influences security less strongly as access is controlled via VPN switch, SAProuter software and firewall

In term of security SNC is more reaiable  and you should use SNC .
