Hi,

Sales order:

While creating a sales order with material type HAWA,Schedule line category-CN( requirement, availability is unchecked).,checking rule is A,availability check is Individual requirement. While checking the schedule line category in sales order, the delivery date is determined to a future date.In MD04 Stock/Requirement List screen the order no saved is not assigned to requirement list.

My doubt:

The order saved is not displayed in MD04 screen, inspite of this how the system rightly does forward scheduling and determines future date of delivey

Hello Pradeep,

usually for the schedule line category the atp check and transfer of requirements is deactivated.

As transfer of requirements is deactivated you cannot see the sales order in transaction Co09 or MD04.

As the atp check is deactivated any requested quantity will be confirmed independent of whether you have something available or not.

The logic for the scheduling and atp check is the following:

First the system carries out a backward scheduling starting from the requested delivery date (prerequisit is that the scheduling is activated in OVLY). The scheduling determines all the dates including the material availability date. If e.g. the material availability date is in the past then the system switches to a forward scheduling (prerequisit: 'Backwards' is not flagged in OVLY )starting from the current date.

The material availability date that has been determined by the scheduling is passed to the atp check and then the system checks whether something is available or not. As you have deactivated the atp check the system will always confirm the requested quantity on the date that has been passed from the scheduling to the availability check.

Hello!

In CO09 with checking rule "A" you can check when stock will be available , this determine the Mat.Av. Date in sales order. The system will consider times (as mentioned by Dogboy 49) as pick/pack time, loading time and transit time to calculate "Delivery Date"

FM SD_SCHEDULING will be carried out despite "Req.Transfer" is not set in schedule line.

Pradeep,

What are your settings in OVLY?

Depending upon these settings, some or all of the settings for scheduling in IMG > Sales and Distribution > Basic Functions > Delivery scheduling and Transportation Scheduling > Maintain Duration will be relevant for scheduling the delivery date.
