COPA CURRENCY CONVERSION

Hi Gurus,

can any one give the details where the currency conversion happens in co-pa. In production , we are facing a short dump issue when posting STO using T Code VI01. The short dump error says that "currency conversion in co-pa is not taking place" with Message No. KE549.

Scenario

Our company is located in country A and plant is located in country B. Actually stock transfer is not a sale, since if we move the goods from A to B the currency should be home country currency. Actually we have two storage locations, one in country A and one in country B. Stock is moving from A to B. However due to some conversion issues in co-pa the system is throwing a short dump error.

Can any one help us to solve the issue?

Hi Gurus,

Thank you so much for your replies. The issue was solved when the user changed ABAP coding in Z Program created for COPA, recently the company went for upgrade for some reason the Z program was not working perfectly. We identified the problem and suggested them to comment a few lines relating to COPA and it worked. Nakula Charan Das is correct with regards to the flow from FI side, the currency conversion takes place in OB08, but there is no exact solution to this problem, only a work around is possible and we suggested the same.

Hi,

The possible and expected error for this issue would be the large volume of data, which caused short dump. Check the number of records and selection parameters.

The currency conversion is picking from the combination of 1. Legal valuation, 2. Group valuation, 3. Group valuation with group currency... these are the combinations, Finally check your currency exchange rates and tran - KE27 for Material Ledger.
