Dear Experts,

I need some clarification for SAP installation.

our System setup Windows 2003  IA Server + Oracle 10.2  + Kernel 7.01.

we need to go upgrade Windows 2008 IA Server.

If Windows 2008 Itanium Server supports Oracle 10.2 ?

If support means which kernel version supports ?

Plse suggest the valuable answer and also give the advantage & disadvantage for the above questions.

Thanks & Regards,

Hello

I suggest you to read this SAP note first and then decide whether the hardware you have chosen is the right one.

Note 1110995 - Extended maintenance for Oracle Version 10.2

For the operating system platforms Linux on Power, Windows Itanium, and Linux Itanium, Oracle no longer provides Oracle 11.2 support. As a result, customers on these platforms cannot upgrade to Version 11.2. For this reason, the extended support for Version 10.2.0.5 on these operating system platforms is free of charge until the end of July 2013.

Regards

Hello,

It supports but you need to perform some prerequisite tasks. Please refer to SAP note 986578.

Also, please check PAM for supported SAP release on window Itanium servers.
