Hi,
We are now trying to put some of our already running processes in the portal so users have easier access. We created some iviews in order to call the transactons via SAP GUI for HTML. However, I have discovered that the lowerbar where messages (red error messages, yellow warning messages, green status messages) are shown is not visible. Due to that, if i have an error in my transaction, I cannot know the reason. Eventhe fields are highlighted but no error messages is shown. Apart fromthat transaction is working ok and any pop up message also work correctly, only messages in lower bar are not displayed.
Do you know which setting should i activate to make the status bar visible again?Where i should change this? Since i ampretty new to SAP GUI I do not know where to search.
Many thanks
Daniel Delgado
Hi Daniel,
Maybe you can try SAP note 1119628. Using ~webgui_message_in_popup=1 might be an option.
Thanks and regards,
Cris

Hi Daniel,
I presume you are using the WEBGUI of an INTEGRATED ITS to call these transaction iViews from the Portal?
What Kernel and BASIS version are you using?
It is possible you have disabled the status bar?
Many customer's actually want to hide all this
information in a STATUS BAR from their Web Users.
See note: 1010519 SAP GUI for HTML: Simplified title area w/o menu
which describes this.
by setting ~webgui_simple_toolbar 256 this will deactivate the the status bar

SAP GUI Progress Indicator
The function module SAPGUI_PROGRESS_INDICATOR lets an application
write synchronously to the status bar of the SAP GUI. It is
widely used to i.e. indicate compiling of ABAP sources. Writing
to the status bar from the ABAP is not possible due to the HTTP
protocol that don't allow push actions from the server to the
client.
