Hi,
Facing error with few systems for Migrate data into LMDB in solman 7.1.
1)No active product version assigned in SMSY
2)Error in product defintion: Product for product version 0 not found
3)No technical system assigned to relevant product instance
Can you please guide for resolving these errors in LMDB with the steps.
Thanks a ton
Hi Daniel,
1)No active product version assigned in SMSY
2)Error in product defintion: Product for product version 0 not found
3)No technical system assigned to relevant product instance
If i am not wrong, you are failing at the very beginning step of solution manger configuration.
The product version is not defined for the system in LMDB thus not reflecting in SMSY
you can define the product system in LMDB in two ways
1. Automatically
2.maually
1. To define automatically.(recommended)
For example if you want to configure a system KBINSJSAP02(domain name)
in solution manager system KBINSJSAP08.
go to http://kbinsjsap02:5<instance no>00/sld
goto tab >>ADMINISTRATION>> DATASUPPLIER and add the following
http://kbinsjsap08:5<instance no>00
now Go to transaction >> SOLMAN_WORKCENTER>> CONFIGURATIONS TAB>>MANAGED SYSTEM CONFIGURATION >> SELECT SYSTEM>> SYSTEM OPERATION >> MAINTAIN SYSTEM
got o edit mode and simply press on RESYNC FROM SLD button.
in an hour time the data will be automatically syncronised in SMSY.
2. to define manaully (not recommended)
Go to transaction >> SOLMAN_WORKCENTER>> CONFIGURATIONS TAB>>MANAGED SYSTEM CONFIGURATION >> SELECT SYSTEM>> SYSTEM OPERATION >> MAINTAIN SYSTEM
go to edit mode and fill the mandatory fields.
and under the software tab>> select the right product of your system
under the software components tick the software components of the systems carefully.
similarly fill the all the fields and finally SAVE.
Hope this helps.

Nag

Hi Daniel,
To get rid of all these issues, You better perform below steps first:-
1. Update CR content & CIM model version as per note 1701770 .
2. You can follow 669669 note for details. If you patch after, you may need to delete and configure object server for LMDB again. In SETUP LMDB -> deactivate -> Delete -> and Configure Object Server again. Once done, let the sync begin and try to monitor the progress in SM37 .
3. Now, after synchronizing SLD and LMDB, run LMDB_FETCH job to pull data from LMDB to SMSY. You can also run SMSY_FETCH_SYSTEM_UPDATE program to fetch specific system from LMDB to SMSY.
But , please make sure that before fetching data from LMDB to SMSY, you have thoroughly run LVSM_LOAD report and assign poduct system or technical system as per warning/error alerts found in LVSM.
If you see LVSM is showing your required system in GREEN color, then you would be able to fetch data from LMDB to SMSY successfully.
Also note that sometime it is required to delete all the details like server, database, product system etc. from SMSY (now in LMDB) and then need to fetch data from SLD to LMDB and then to SMSY as due to not overwriting properly , all updated data doesn't get synced with SMSY.

Hello,
You need to check below settings in SMSY prior to migration to LMDB:
1) Make sure that systems are assigned correct product version in SMSY.
2) Please make sure that technical systems are assigned to product instance.
Please also follow SAP note 1607771.
Thanks
Sunny

Hi Daniel,
Can you please explain the setup.
From where are you migrating data to LMDB.??
Are you pushing data from SMSY ??
It's always better to push data from SLD to LMDB.
