SUM Tool alert notification during upgrade on windows server

Hi Experts,

I am upgrading NW 7.1 to 7.3 EHP1 using SUM tool(SP08), and found option called "Alert notification" where user inputs required/if any errors during upgrade. But i am not clear about the script part for windows environment to configure the alert notification(EMAIL/SMS).

Can someone if already configured and tested, please suggest me with the steps to be performed and example of script.

Hello,

You have to configure your own script to send these alerts. One example of this script is given in upgrade guide. You can make similar script for your environment which will trigger alerts.

Thank you Sunny, I have already seen that template script  but i am not able to underand not able to create own script which can be properly execute.

So i would like to know the example of script if some one already used this option and able to get the notifications.
