Variant Configuration Query?

Dear Experts,

Below is my clients business process.

1. Initially they make Standard UPS without batteries and accessories.

2. After they get order from customer for the UPS with batteries and accessories.  Below is how battery selected.

1--BAT MAKE--EXIDE,QUANTA,AEGAN,ROCKET,SOUTHERN TUBULAR,LITE

2--BAT TYPE--SMF,TUB,NXT,GEL,NI CD

3--BAT AH----7,12,17,18,26,40,42,65,75,100,120,130,150,60,66,200

4--BAT QTY---2,3,4,6,8,10,12,16,20,30,40,64

5--RACK-------O/T,C/T,TOP CLOSED,TOP GRILL

8--BAT VOLTAGE---24,36,48,72,96,120,240,360

Please suggest how to create characteristics and values from above selection.

Dear,

By seeing the details you provided, you already grouped them in the variant BOM. You can create a final material with VC. And include all these components in the BOM.

Assign class, characteristic and values as you already listed above. And assign selection conditions for the components.

Create a configuration profile for the header material and check the performance of the VC condition you put in CU50. Similarly when you get an order from customer you can choose the components to configure your fg.

For details on how to do this, there is introduction to variant configuration which is very good document published in this forum, refer that and map your process in line to that and you get addressed your issue very soon.
