Standard Communication Method as Email not available in Customer Master Record

Hi all,

I am trying to use email as standard communication method for a customer, but I don't have the option to select INT - Email in the field StandardComm.Mtd

I already checked in:

Financial Accounting > Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable > Customer Accounts >

Master Data > Preparations for Creating Customer Master Data >

Define Screen Layout per Activity (Customers)

And its showing as optional, but even selecting this, I don't have the option to select INT Email as a communication method in customer master.

Can someone help me on this issue?

Hello Fabricio,

The INT (Email) object is a communication method used in the Business Address Service within several application areas. This is part of the Basis component. Ask your colleagues from Basis to check settings of the INT communication method in transaction SA10.

In particular flag "Use" can enable or disable the use of this communication method in the customer card (drop down list) or where the business address service is used.

Hi Herve,

Thanks for your reply. This was one of the settings missing.

Also, I checked later in OBD2 - Customer Account Groups, and the field was set as suppressed. I changed to Optional and the now I have the option to select INT.
