No IDOCS saved in target system

Hi Experts,

We are doing a scenario where we are sending IDOC from ECC to PI soap channel.

We have done all the configurations in ECC as below

1)Created RFC Destination of type G pointing to the SOAP channel of the PI system

2)Created XML Http Port with above RFCDestination

3)Maintained Partner profile with the abbove Port

But I am facing an issue while sending data to PI from ECC it is saying

"No IDoc saved in target system (SOAP HTTP) Message no. EA391" (Status 02  Error passing data to port)

And I am able to send data to the SOAP channel through external Soap Client to the same URL which I maintained in the RFC Destinnation and have used the same credentials.

Appreciate your valuable advice.

FYI....

We are doing Customer on demand integration with ECC through PI.

And we have run the standard report "RCOD_CREATE_CONNECTIVITY" to do the configurations at ECC side.

Thanks&Regards,

Dinesh Male

Hi Dinesh,

Did you find a solution for the issue. We have a similar issue, and we are kind of stuck at the moment.

If you have any details on how to solve this, we will be very glad.

Hi Anders,

My problem is resolved after adding the message listeners in inboundRA.

Dinesh,

RFC of type H (ABAP) is required for IDoc communication.

Was the logical system for PI created in ECC with partner type LS and the PFs created under this logical system ?

What was the need for a XML port. Do you need IDoc XML to be dumped in a certain directory ?

I think it should be a Transactional RFC port.

Hi,

As mentioned we have run a standard report to configure in ECC.

And I also tested the RFC Destinations and all are working fine and able to ping PI from ECC.

Coming to sm58 I hope we do not get any messages in the TRFC port monitor as we are using the RFC Destination of type "G".

Thanks&Regards,,

Hi Dinesh,

is RFC test from PI to ECC successful?

what is the error you see in the receiver IDoc channel?

Cheers

Hi Dinesh,

check in SM58 if is there any dump?

If so check the ALE/IDOC configuration and RFC destination.

ping the RFC destination see whether it is successful or not?

In the ALE/IDOC configuration make sure you have configured the correct port details for sender and receiver.
