Network-Activity cost planning in PS

Hello

We are working with Network-activity based cost planning. Meaning we are using External activity with Quantity and Price for our cost planning.

How it can be possible to distribute this cost plan in several years ?

I do not see this functionality in CJR2 like we do it for WBS Elements, Cost Element and Period

Hi Ashish,

no, the external activity does not have distribution functionality. All the costs are put in a single period.

An alternative is splitt the activity into multiple activities or using activity elements.

Thanks for your reply.

How can I split the cost into different periods if I create activity elements for External activity ?

e.g. Cost for Yr 2013 - 200, Yr 2014 - 500 etc. Activity Element derives the date from the activity and hence not able to decide different dates for the activity elements.

Do you get my point ?

Hi Ashish,

you can e.g. set different must-constraint of tab 'dates' of the gesplitted activities, so that the costs are booked in the corresponding periods.

For activity element, you can use the offset of element, so that the element get different date.
